Kyrgyzstan to provide 'Balasyrysy' child benefit to over 440,000 children

Kyrgyzstan is set to launch a new child benefit program, 'Balasyrysy,' aiming to support over 440,000 children. The Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Migration announced that applications will open on July 1st.

Applications for the benefit can be submitted starting July 1st through regional labor and social security departments or the 'Tunduk' mobile app.

Citizens can apply through regional labor and social security departments. Alternatively, those with digitized documents can use the 'Tunduk' mobile application. For those without digital documents, applications can be submitted at Public Service Centers (TsON).

The benefit provides 1,200 Kyrgyz soms monthly per child until they turn three. However, eligibility may be denied for children over three years old, or in cases of the child's death or permanent relocation abroad. Special registration requirements are in place for residents of mountainous, hard-to-reach settlements, and certain border areas.

Labor Minister Kanat Sagynbaev emphasized the critical importance of a child's first 1,000 days for their physical and mental development, highlighting the timely introduction of this new payment. The ministry is conducting training for its regional staff to ensure smooth implementation of the benefit.
