Kyung Hee University opens applications for 2027 early admissions

Kyung Hee University has opened applications for its 2027 early admissions cycle, with submissions accepted through the Uway Apply website from 10 a.m. on Sept. 8 until 6 p.m. on Sept. 11.

The university plans to select 3,006 students through early admissions, or 55.3% of its total intake. The places include 867 through the school-record academic performance track, 1,331 through the comprehensive school-record track, 471 through the essay excellence track and 337 through the practical-skills excellence track.

The 2027 cycle includes several changes. School-violence measures numbered 1 through 3, which did not previously reduce scores, will now result in a deduction equal to 1% of the total admissions score. Deductions for measures numbered 4 through 9 will also increase from last year.

The essay examination will be divided into humanities and physical education, social studies, natural sciences, and medicine and pharmacy sections. The social-studies essay will be reduced from three questions to two, while the mathematics essay component will be eliminated. Instead, the test will use an integrated, passage-based format drawing on charts and statistical data.

Kyung Hee says its admissions office publishes detailed information each year to reduce gaps in access to admissions data. The information includes applicant and admitted-student grade distributions by track and field, as well as admitted students’ document-review, interview and essay scores.
