La Original Banda El Limón and 3Ball Monterrey to headline Mexico vs. England fan fest in Mexico City

Mexico City is gearing up for a significant World Cup match against England on July 5, with a festive atmosphere planned to accompany the game. La Original Banda El Limón and 3Ball Monterrey are set to headline the musical entertainment, which will include 16 concerts across the capital. This event marks a potential historic moment for the Mexican national team, as a victory could see them advance to the quarterfinals for the first time in 40 years.

City officials, including the Head of Government Clara Brugada Molina, announced the extensive lineup of artists and venues. The concerts will take place at various locations, including Paseo de la Reforma, with stages at the Angel of Independence and the Monument to the Revolution. Unlike previous events, the number of stages has been reduced to two on Paseo de la Reforma, with one in Bucareli eliminated.

Following regrettable incidents that led to the deaths of four people during previous match celebrations, authorities have implemented enhanced security measures. A limit of 25,000 people will be allowed at the main viewing area, with additional fans being redirected to other locations once capacity is reached. This decision aims to ensure public safety while still allowing widespread celebration of the match.

Beyond the main events in the city center, several alcaldías (boroughs) will also host concerts. These include Utopía Meyehualco, Utopía Mixhuca, Parque Tezozómoc, Parque La Bombilla, and others, featuring a diverse range of musical acts from Grupo Aroma to Mariachi Femenil Innovación Mexicana. The goal is to spread the celebration throughout the city, offering various entertainment options for fans before and after the crucial match.
