La Velada del Año VI: Weigh-ins and viral moments ahead of the big event

The Estadio de La Cartuja in Seville, Spain, is set to host the sixth edition of "La Velada del Año" on July 25, an event organized by Spanish digital personality Ibai Llanos. The highly anticipated digital boxing and entertainment spectacle will feature 10 bouts with 20 participants competing, including two main events that have already generated significant buzz.

During the weigh-in, which drew nearly a million viewers online, discussions ranged from fighters' pre-bout rituals and social media confrontations to rumors of fixed outcomes and potential future matches. A particular point of contention arose between Spanish fighter RoRo and Mexican competitor Rivers regarding the fight conditions. RoRo stated that a change in helmet for the bout was discussed and approved mid-month, while Rivers expressed frustration, calling it an injustice as it wasn't factored into her training.

Several weigh-ins highlighted the close nature of the competition. Fabiana Sevilla and Valeria "La Parce" were separated by mere grams, both weighing in under their pact weight of 52.5 kg. Clara "Clersss" and Natalia García matched their 55.4 kg weigh-in against a 57 kg pact. Edu Aguirre and Gastón Edul had a nearly two-kilogram difference from their 74 kg pact, with Aguirre at 71.3 kg and Edul at 73.8 kg. Marta Díaz and Tatiana Kaer also met their pact weight of 57 kg, both weighing in at 56.4 kg. Víctor Mélida "byyViruZz" and Gero Arias were also close to their 78 kg pact, weighing in at 77.3 kg and 76.9 kg respectively.
