LA28 to open second ticket sale after selling 4 million in first release

Organizers for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics are preparing for a second round of ticket sales, set to open from August 10 to August 20. This follows a highly successful initial sale where more than 4 million tickets were snapped up by eager fans.

The first ticket release saw significant demand from local residents, with individuals in the Los Angeles and Oklahoma City areas purchasing nearly 75% of the available tickets. Notably, around 500,000 tickets priced at $28 were sold, and 95% of tickets under $100 found buyers.

The upcoming second sale will offer tickets across all Olympic sports and a range of price points, subject to availability. To participate, fans are required to register for a ticket draw by July 22. Those selected will receive purchase time slots randomly assigned and will be notified between August 6-7. A presale for Visa cardholders is also scheduled from July 29-31.

Tickets from the initial sale reached fans in 85 countries, all 50 U.S. states, and various U.S. territories. The 2028 Los Angeles Games will mark the third time the city has hosted the Olympics, having previously done so in 1932 and 1984.
