Labour Ministry developing specific, secure and healthy Labour Housing Project for legal expatriate workers

Libya's Ministry of Labor and Rehabilitation is actively working on a new Labour Housing Project designed specifically for legal expatriate workers. The initiative aims to provide secure and healthy living conditions, moving away from informal arrangements.

The project's core objective is to reduce the prevalence of informal labor practices by ensuring that expatriate workers are housed in accordance with established organizational, security, and health controls. This structured approach is intended to create a more regulated and safe environment for foreign workers in the country.

Implementation of the Labour Housing Project will be managed through employers, who will be responsible for adhering to the project's guidelines. All aspects of the project will be conducted under the strict supervision of the relevant competent authorities, ensuring compliance and accountability.
