Lae-Nadzab Four-Lane Road Becomes the New Gateway to the Highlands

The prime minister’s September road journey will move from the pioneering Trans-National Highway project to the Lae-Nadzab four-lane highway, described as one of Papua New Guinea’s most strategically important urban transport projects.

The road is being framed as a new gateway to the Highlands, highlighting Lae and Nadzab’s importance in the country’s transport network.

The project forms part of the government’s wider focus on major road infrastructure, alongside the Trans-National Highway initiative.
