Lagos, FirstBank, Zenith Bank back QEDNG Creative Powerhouse Summit 2.0

Lagos, Nigeria – The upcoming QEDNG Creative Powerhouse Summit 2.0 is set to convene leaders from the creative industries, business, government, and technology sectors. Scheduled for August 11 at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Ikeja GRA, Lagos, the summit's theme is 'Creativity, Culture and Nigeria’s Next Chapter.'

This year's event has garnered significant support from both public and private institutions. Key backers include the Lagos State Government, FirstBank, Zenith Bank, the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service (LIRS), Fidelity Bank, Polaris Bank, the Africa Soft Power Group, and Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG). Several of these organizations, including FirstBank, NLNG, and Polaris Bank, are returning as supporters after backing the inaugural summit in 2025.

Organizers stated that the summit aims to explore how strengthened collaborations among government entities, investors, and the creative community can unlock substantial opportunities for economic growth and job creation. The event will also examine Nigeria's creative economy and its potential for sustainable development.

Olumide Iyanda, publisher of QEDNG and convener of the summit, expressed appreciation for the widespread support, noting a shared belief among the supporting institutions in the potential of Nigeria's creative economy. "Every contribution is important because it helps us create a platform where leaders from different sectors can have meaningful conversations about the future of Nigeria’s creative economy," Iyanda said. Demola Aladekomo, executive chairman of SmartCity Resorts Plc, will chair the summit, with Ife Adebayo, national coordinator of the Investment in Digital and Creative Enterprises (iDICE) programme, serving as the keynote speaker.
