Lagos police confirm probe into live ammunition-bearing parcel sent to First Bank MD

The Lagos State Police Command is investigating a serious incident where the Managing Director of First Bank Nigeria, Oluwasegun Alebiosu, received a parcel containing live ammunition at his residence. Police Commissioner Tijani Fatai confirmed the probe, stating that the parcel, upon opening, revealed two rounds of 7.62mm live ammunition. The package was delivered to the MD's Ikoyi residence and received by domestic security personnel. Investigators are currently working to trace the dispatch rider who delivered the package and are reviewing CCTV footage from the area. While the complainant has provided names of suspected individuals, the police emphasize that these are part of ongoing investigative leads. No suspects are in custody, and no arrests have been made. The incident has raised internal security concerns within the financial institution, though no official link has been made between the parcel and any individual or group.
