Lamine Yamal and Raphinha shine as Barcelona rout Rayo Vallecano

Barcelona turned a difficult start into a 5-2 victory over Rayo Vallecano, with Lamine Yamal and Raphinha providing the attacking spark in a match that briefly threatened to slip away from the defending champions.

Rayo struck in the 12th minute through Sergio Camello. Álvaro García exposed Jules Koundé on the right and supplied the cross, allowing Camello to drive the ball into the top corner. It was the first LaLiga goal Barcelona goalkeeper Joan García had conceded.

Barcelona responded seven minutes later. Pedri, Xavi Espart and Raphinha combined before the Brazilian forward dribbled past the Rayo defense and finished past Dani Cárdenas. Raphinha then helped turn the match around, while Yamal restored Barcelona’s momentum with a left-footed strike into the near top corner.

Rayo’s courage kept the visitors competitive after the break, led by Camello’s two-goal performance. Barcelona continued to press, however, with Yamal’s dribbling repeatedly lifting the crowd and the attack eventually securing a 5-2 result. The victory gave Hansi Flick’s team its third win in the opening three rounds.
