Spanish World Cup winner Lamine Yamal is currently enjoying his vacation in Medellín, Colombia, following his team's victory in the 2026 World Cup. His visit coincided with the city's vibrant Feria de las Flores, where he actively participated in local festivities.

Yamal's presence was warmly received by Medellín's mayor, Federico Gutiérrez, who welcomed the footballer on social media, highlighting the city's honor in being chosen as part of his South American tour. During his stay, Yamal attended a concert by Colombian artist Ryan Castro in the Comuna 13 neighborhood. Videos shared by attendees captured the young player singing along to Castro's song 'El ritmo que nos une,' expressing his enjoyment and thanking the audience for their warm reception.

The Spanish footballer's Colombian journey began in Cartagena de Indias, where he explored the historic center, accompanied by his security detail. Fans gathered, seeking photographs with the young player from Barcelona.

Yamal also made waves on social media with a TikTok video. He posted a clip of himself dancing to 'Vitamina,' a hit song by Ecuadorian artist Jombriel. The video quickly went viral, amassing over 19 million views, four million likes, and significant engagement within 12 hours. 'Vitamina' has achieved remarkable success since its 2025 release, becoming Spotify Ecuador's most-streamed song in history and propelling Jombriel's international career.

The song not only broke records in Ecuador but also gained global recognition, even appearing on former US President Barack Obama's list of favorite music. Jombriel, whose real name is Jonathan Gabriel Cedeño Romero, is a 23-year-old artist who transitioned from freestyle to reggaeton and dancehall. His initial dream was to be a footballer, but the COVID-19 pandemic shifted his focus to music, leading to his first EP in 2021 and subsequent success.
