Landslide on Đồng Nai-Lâm Đồng road cleared after nearly two-hour closure

Traffic on the Đồng Nai-Lâm Đồng route returned to normal after local authorities cleared a landslide that blocked Provincial Road 755B for nearly two hours.

At about 5 a.m. on September 6, soil, rocks and trees slid from a hillside at the Dốc 5 Cây section in Phước Sơn commune. The debris covered the road and halted traffic in both directions. The affected route, also known as the Sao Bọng-Đăng Hà road, connects Đồng Nai with Lâm Đồng.

Phước Sơn authorities worked with the construction unit to remove the material under the local “four on-the-spot” response system. Vehicles could pass normally again at about 8 a.m. Local militia members also helped people cross the slippery section.

The route carries thousands of vehicles each day but regularly faces landslides from upper slopes during the rainy season. The Đồng Nai city Department of Construction has allocated funds and is repairing sections considered vulnerable, with the aim of improving safety and preventing further disruptions.
