LASCO Financial Services backs Greater Change Foundation with $50,000 donation

LASCO Financial Services has provided a significant boost to the Greater Change Foundation's efforts to support children impacted by Hurricane Melissa. The company presented a $50,000 donation to aid the foundation's upcoming back-to-school initiative.

This donation will be more than impactful. Our focus this year is giving back to children who were affected by Hurricane Melissa. We’ve already completed major projects in Bucknor, Clarendon, and at the Chester Primary School, and now we’re preparing for our largest back-to-school initiative. This support from LASCO Financial Services will help us secure the school supplies and resources needed to ensure children can begin the new academic year despite the challenges many families continue to face.

Samantha Fuller-Maragh, brand manager of card services at LASCO, presented the cheque, highlighting the company's commitment to corporate social responsibility and vulnerable communities. The funds are earmarked to help children affected by the hurricane prepare for the new academic year, providing essential school supplies and resources.

Warren Bernard, Board Chairman of the Greater Change Foundation, expressed gratitude for the timely contribution. He noted that the donation arrives as the foundation gears up for its largest outreach project of the year, focusing on children displaced or emotionally affected by the hurricane. Bernard emphasized the invaluable support from corporate partners like LASCO.
