LASG rewards officers for dedication to public service

The Lagos State Government has recognized two officials from the Office of Physical Planning with its Officer of the Quarter Awards for the second quarter. This initiative aims to reward excellence and boost service delivery across the public sector.

The initiative is designed to recognise and reward officers who have distinguished themselves through exceptional performance and commitment to duty.

Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Oluyinka Olumide, presented the awards, emphasizing the importance of diligence, professionalism, and high productivity. Raji Abimbola, a Chief Town Planning Officer, was named Management Officer of the Quarter, while Michael Samuel, a Chief Clerical Officer, received the Junior Officer of the Quarter Award.

Olumide stated that the program celebrates officers who consistently show exceptional commitment and performance. He urged other staff to follow the awardees' example and strive for greater productivity. Sylvester Ogunkelu, Chairman of the Lagos State House of Assembly Committee on Physical Planning and Urban Development, encouraged the recipients to maintain their high standards, noting that "the reward for hard work is more work."

Permanent Secretary of the Office of Physical Planning, Adebayo Wasiu, congratulated the officers, highlighting the government's value for dedication. He urged the recipients to continue their growth and encouraged other employees to remain focused and innovative. Abimbola, speaking for the awardees, expressed gratitude and stated the honor would motivate them toward continued excellence and efficient service delivery.
