Lavrov: 'Europeans preparing for war, Trump ready for dialogue'

Europeans are pretending to want negotiations with Russia but are actually just buying time to prepare for war by 2030, according to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. He believes the apparent unity among Atlantic allies from the G7 summit will not last.

Lavrov's comments come as Russia faces a barrage of Ukrainian drone attacks. After strikes on Moscow that caused a fire at the city's largest refinery, another 76 drones were intercepted near the capital, according to Mayor Sergey Sobyanin. The Kremlin suggested Kyiv is escalating attacks because their troops' situation on the ground is becoming "catastrophic."

Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has issued an ultimatum to Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko: dismantle the repeater systems used to guide Russian drone attacks on Ukrainian cities, or Kyiv will remove them directly. Russian bombardments in recent hours have killed at least three people, including an 8-year-old girl in the Dnipropetrovsk region. In the southern Odessa region, one man died and four others were injured in a raid on a truck parking lot. In Kramatorsk, eastern Donetsk region, one person was killed and three injured in another attack. In the northeastern Kharkiv region, 10 people, including 4 children, were injured by bombs dropped from Russian aircraft.
