Le Van Minh Appointed General Director of Ho Chi Minh City Press and Radio Television Agency

Ho Chi Minh City has officially established a new unified media organization, the Ho Chi Minh City Press and Radio Television Agency. The city's Thanh Uy announced the formation of the agency and appointed Le Van Minh as its General Director during a ceremony on June 20.

Le Quoc Phong, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Thanh Uy, presented the appointment decisions. The new agency consolidates three prominent media outlets: the Saigon Giai Phong newspaper, the Tuoi Tre newspaper, and Ho Chi Minh City Television (HTV), along with the Training and Communication Center. This integration aims to create a multimedia powerhouse under the direct purview of the Thanh Uy.

Le Van Minh, a member of the Thanh Uy, brings extensive experience from the propaganda and training sector. He previously served as Chief of Office and Deputy Head of the Thanh Uy's Propaganda Department. His career also includes roles in district-level leadership, such as Deputy Secretary of the Binh Chanh District Party Committee and later as Standing Deputy Head of the Thanh Uy's Propaganda Department. Most recently, he was appointed Secretary of the District 10 Party Committee.

Several deputy general directors were also appointed, including Nguyen Khac Van (acting Editor-in-Chief of Saigon Giai Phong), Cao Anh Minh (General Director of Ho Chi Minh City Television), Tran Xuan Toan (Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Tuoi Tre), and To Dinh Tuan (Editor-in-Chief of Nguoi Lao Dong newspaper). The new agency operates as a public service unit under the Thanh Uy, adhering to the law on press and relevant legal regulations.
