Leaks point to the return of Samsung’s ultra-thin Galaxy Edge with the Galaxy S27 series

Samsung may be preparing to bring back its ultra-thin Galaxy Edge line alongside the Galaxy S27 series, although the leaks are conflicting. The company first launched the ultra-thin phone in 2025, but it did not achieve the level of success Samsung had hoped for.

Samsung has not released a new Edge generation so far in 2026. Now, the leaker account “@kro_roe” on X claims a possible Galaxy S27 Edge could feature a 5.8-inch display, a body less than 4.5 millimeters thick and a 4,300-mAh battery.

That battery capacity appears close to the usual level for ultra-thin phones, according to a Digital Trends report reviewed by Al Arabiya Business. The specifications could represent a notable improvement over the first Edge generation, which was larger and thicker but carried a smaller battery.

The proposed design would still demand a major engineering effort from Samsung, particularly if the company must fit such a battery into a phone measuring about 5 millimeters thick. The existing S25 Edge, by comparison, has a 6.7-inch display.
