Lebanese delegation begins three-day Dubai visit to strengthen government cooperation

A 24-member Lebanese government delegation began a three-day visit to Dubai on Monday, seeking practical lessons from the United Arab Emirates on how public institutions can work more effectively together.

The program was organized by the UAE Government Experience Exchange Office. Lebanon’s delegation is headed by Economy Minister Amer Bisat and Minister of State for Technology and Artificial Intelligence Kamal Shehadi.

On its first day, the delegation was scheduled to meet Abdulla Nasser Lootah, the UAE assistant minister of Cabinet affairs for competitiveness and knowledge exchange, as well as Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence Omar Al Olama and Minister of State for Foreign Trade Thani Al Zeyoudi. Other Emirati officials are also taking part.

The program includes sessions on artificial intelligence, legislation, future planning, government services, reducing bureaucracy and foreign trade. The visit is intended to help Lebanese institutions identify areas where they could benefit from UAE expertise and establish direct, longer-term links between the two countries’ state institutions.
