Legal CFL tailgating is setting the tone for football in Saskatchewan

Football fans in Regina, Saskatchewan, are celebrating the introduction of legal tailgating at Mosaic Stadium. This new policy, which began on June 13, allows fans with permits to gather and enjoy pre-game festivities in designated parking areas. The Saskatchewan Roughriders worked with the provincial government and the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority to make this happen.

Football fans are finally getting a taste of what other cities across the country have had for ages, legal tailgating in Regina, Sask.

Fans can now bring food, games, and drinks to get the pre-game energy going. The new rules permit music, grilling, and adult beverages in allocated spots, mirroring practices common in other Canadian cities like Hamilton, Toronto, Montreal, and Winnipeg. The Roughriders are among the later teams in the league to adopt such a policy.
