Lens and PSG Announce Lineups for Champions Trophy Clash

The starting lineups for the Champions Trophy match between Lens and Paris Saint-Germain have been announced, offering a glimpse into the tactical approaches of both teams. Lens, the French Cup winners, will be without key forward Odsonne Édouard, who was uncertain due to an adductor issue and does not feature on the match sheet.

Instead, Lens manager Dino Toppmöller has placed his faith in summer recruit Franjo Ivanovic to lead the attack. The starting eleven also includes other new additions like Polish defender Maik Nawrocki, Michael Cuisance, and Yassine Titraoui. Goalkeeper Robin Risser retains his spot, and Florian Thauvin will wear the captain's armband for the Sang et Or.

Paris Saint-Germain, meanwhile, makes three alterations from their recent victory over Aston Villa. João Neves is being managed and has not traveled to Lens. New signings Ferran Torres and Mika Godts are also absent from the squad. Lucas Beraldo is included in the midfield trio, and Marquinhos is replaced in central defense by Illya Zabarnyi.

Ousmane Dembélé, who was a substitute in the previous game, will again start on the bench, allowing new signing Maghnes Akliouche to make his second start for the club. Lucas Digne also returns to the lineup, marking his second spell with the Parisian club. Bradley Barcola and Ibrahim Mbaye are not included in the matchday squad.
