LG Electronics Reviews First-Half Performance, Discusses Robot and AIDC Cooling Business Strategies

LG Electronics convened a company-wide management meeting on July 16, led by CEO Ryu Jae-chul, bringing together approximately 300 domestic and international executives. The meeting focused on reviewing the company's performance during the first half of the year (January-June) and strategizing for future growth areas, particularly in robotics and AI data center (AIDC) cooling.

The session, held both online and offline at the Magok headquarters in Seoul, included management from headquarters, business divisions, and overseas regional representatives and branch managers. Unlike typical domestic management meetings, this gathering involved key global leadership to assess performance amidst uncertain economic conditions, including high exchange rates, inflation, and interest rates, as well as Middle East conflicts.

Under the theme "Revealing Problems" and "Executing to Win," the meeting shared examples of how issues were identified and addressed across various business units. It also highlighted instances where execution speed was accelerated or innovative approaches led to successful outcomes, aiming to foster a culture of collaborative problem-solving and enhance operational effectiveness.

Significant attention was given to the mid-to-long-term strategies for four key future growth businesses: robotics, AIDC cooling, smart factories, and AI Home. CEO Ryu Jae-chul previously stated in March that these businesses possess strong synergy potential with LG Electronics' existing operations and offer substantial growth prospects.
