Austin Dean, the foreign slugger for the LG Twins, has etched his name in the KBO record books by achieving the season's first "cycling hit." The American outfielder accomplished this rare feat during the Twins' home game against the NC Dinos at Jamsil Baseball Stadium.

Dean, batting third and playing first base, completed his cycling hit with a triple in the bottom of the 10th inning. Earlier in the game, he had recorded a double in the fourth, a single in the sixth, and a solo home run to left field in the eighth. A cycling hit, which requires a player to hit a single, double, triple, and home run in a single game, marks the 33rd instance of this achievement in KBO history.

The historic hit proved crucial for the LG Twins, who were trailing 3-4 heading into the bottom of the 10th. Following Dean's triple, Song Chan-ui hit a double to tie the game. With the bases loaded and two outs, Hong Chang-gi delivered a walk-off single, securing a dramatic 5-4 victory for the Twins.
