Libya's National Oil Corporation Launches Advanced Oil Measurement System at Sidra Terminal

Libya's National Oil Corporation (NOC) has officially launched a cutting-edge crude oil flow measurement system at the Sidra oil terminal, operated by Waha Oil Company. The inauguration marks a significant step in enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of the nation's oil export operations.

According to the NOC, the new system is a substantial addition to the sector's measurement capabilities. It was developed under the direct supervision and support of NOC Chairman Masoud Suleiman. The system features two metering skids, each equipped with four ultrasonic flow meters. This technology is designed to guarantee the highest levels of precision and reliability in calculating the quantities of crude oil being exported, adhering strictly to international fiscal metering standards.

Further enhancing its capabilities, each skid includes an advanced master meter calibration system. This system continuously verifies the performance of the meters using the master meter proving principle. Such a feature is crucial for bolstering operational transparency and ensuring the dependability of the results generated during export processes. The implementation of this modern system underscores the NOC's commitment to improving its infrastructure and maintaining high standards in its energy sector operations.
