Libyan officials participating in 2-week training in India on 'Comprehensive Disaster Risk Management'

India is hosting two Libyan officials for a specialized two-week training program focused on Comprehensive Disaster Risk Management. The program commenced on August 2, 2026, and will conclude on August 14, 2026, at the National Institute of Disaster Management in New Delhi.

The Ambassador of India to Libya, Hifzur Rahman, met with the Libyan officials to brief them before their departure for the training. This initiative signifies an expansion of India's commitment to capacity building in Libya, fostering new areas of partnership under the framework of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations.

The training program underscores India's dedication to supporting Libya in enhancing its disaster management capabilities.
