Lim Young-woong marks 10th anniversary with new songs and stadium concert

Lim Young-woong is turning his 10th anniversary into a stadium-scale celebration, with a new album making its stage debut before it reaches listeners. From the 4th to the 6th, the singer will hold “IM HERO-THE STADIUM 2” at the main stadium of Goyang Sports Complex.

The concert comes seven months after his nationwide “IM HERO Tour,” which sold out all 24 shows across seven cities. This time, Lim will perform every song from “IM HERO 10,” a special digital album scheduled for release on the 8th. The album includes new songs such as “Tto Tto,” “Moisé,” “New York,” “May You Be Happy,” “To Those of Us Who Have Lived,” and “Baila.” It also features remakes of “Love Always Runs Away,” “Grains of Sand,” “A bientot,” and “I Hate You.”

Lim took part in writing and composing the title track “Tto Tto.” Its music video will be released at 6:16 p.m. on the 7th, one day before the album. The concert will also feature rearranged versions of his established songs, alongside live band performances and choreography.

The show is notable as Lim’s second solo stadium concert. His first, held at Seoul World Cup Stadium in May 2024, attracted about 100,000 people over two days. A concert film released that August drew more than 350,000 moviegoers.

Lim debuted with the single “I Hate You” in August 2016 and gained wider recognition after winning TV Chosun’s “Mister Trot” in 2020. His 2022 debut studio album, “IM HERO,” sold 1.1 million copies in its first week. He has since expanded beyond ballads and trot into rock and jazz, while also appearing on television. He received the Best Entertainment Performer award at the 53rd Korea Broadcasting Awards on the 3rd.
