Lineker calls current Germany one of the worst ever; Arsenal striker responds

Former England international Gary Lineker has sharply criticized the current German national football team, labeling them as one of the weakest squads he has witnessed. In an interview with L'Équipe, Lineker also opined that France would hold a significant advantage if they were to face Germany in the upcoming World Cup knockout rounds.

Germany concluded the group stage of the tournament by topping Group E, despite suffering a 2-1 defeat against Ecuador in their final group match. The team is scheduled to play Paraguay in the round of 16 later on Tuesday evening.

Responding to Lineker's remarks, Germany's leading striker Kai Havertz brushed off the criticism. Speaking at a press conference, Havertz stated that everyone is entitled to their opinion and that the team does not pay much attention to external commentary during major tournaments.
