Lino Červar Backs Primorac for Croatian Olympic Committee Leadership

Renowned Croatian handball coach Lino Červar has publicly declared his support for Professor Dragan Primorac's bid to lead the Croatian Olympic Committee (HOO). Červar, a figure with an illustrious career in Croatian sports, stated that Primorac embodies the integrity and dedication necessary for the role.

Červar emphasized that Primorac's leadership would signify enhanced support for athletes, coaches, and all sports professionals within Croatia. He believes Primorac understands the needs and challenges faced by those involved in sports, ensuring that every athlete has an equal opportunity to succeed and providing encouragement to those facing uncertainty.

Highlighting Primorac's energy, commitment, and decisiveness, Červar expressed confidence that he would champion fairness, responsibility, and the rights of athletes. Červar's endorsement comes from a position of significant achievement. He led the Croatian national handball team for 240 matches, securing major successes including an Olympic gold medal in 2004, a World Championship title in 2003, and multiple silver medals in World and European championships. He also received Croatia's top sports award, the "Franjo Bučar" State Award for Sport, twice.
