Morocco's "Lionesses of the Atlas" launched their 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations campaign with a resounding 4-0 victory against Kenya. The dominant performance took place at the Moulay Al-Hassan Stadium in Rabat, marking a strong start in the tournament's opening match.

The Moroccan team established their superiority in the first half, scoring three goals. Sakina Ouzraoui opened the scoring in the 19th minute, followed by Meryem Aatik in the 28th minute, and Ibtissam Jraidi in the 32nd minute. Jraidi continued her impressive form into the second half, netting her second goal and Morocco's fourth in the 47th minute, sealing the decisive win.

With this commanding victory, Morocco now tops Group A with three points. They hold the lead on goal difference over Algeria, who also secured three points. Senegal and Kenya are third and fourth, respectively, with no points.
