LIVE: Estonian rallycross champions to be decided at Kulbilohu

Most of Estonia’s rallycross titles will go down to the final race at Kulbilohu on Saturday, Sept. 5. The sixth championship round in Tartumaa will be broadcast live, with decisive moments expected across several classes.

In Super1600, Albert Ako Kokk leads Siim Saluri by four points, 113 to 109. Aivo Ojala is third on 104 points, only five behind Saluri, although he has competed in all five previous rounds and will have one result dropped at the end of the season. Because Kokk and Saluri have each missed one round, their Kulbilohu results will count regardless.

Rallycross can produce anything, but broadly speaking, the one who wins between the two at Kulbilohu will also be Estonian champion. Several other drivers will certainly join the fight for the top three.

TouringCar is even tighter. Rommi Pukk leads with 124 points, followed by Rauno Rappu on 121 and Siim Tillemann on 118. In the Yaris 1000 youth class, Gerret Franke leads Latvian driver Jekabs Martinovs by three points, 105 to 102. Sebastian Rebane is the only driver who has already secured a title, in Crosskart 250, although the other podium places remain open.

Fifty-six drivers have registered for the final round, including 13 in BMW RX3000, the largest field. Qualifying heats begin at 10:45 a.m., while the EAL TV broadcast starts at 2 p.m. during the third qualifying round. Rallycross committee chairman Mati Kask said the driver who wins the Super1600 battle between Kokk and Saluri will generally become Estonian champion, while warning that other drivers could still join the fight for the podium.
