Liverpool sign Spain's World Cup forward Munoz from Osasuna

Liverpool FC has secured the signing of Spanish forward Victor Munoz from Osasuna, agreeing to a long-term deal. This move marks the first acquisition since Andoni Iraola assumed the coaching role earlier this month, signaling a new era for the Premier League club.

Media reports indicate that Liverpool paid 40 million euros to meet Munoz's release clause. The 22-year-old has signed a six-year contract with the club. Munoz is currently representing Spain at the World Cup and completed his medical examination at the team's training base in Tennessee, where the contract was finalized, according to a statement from Liverpool.

This signing positions Munoz as Liverpool's second addition for the upcoming 2026-27 season, following an earlier agreement for centre-back Jeremy Jacquet. Munoz previously played for Real Madrid and scored six goals in 34 La Liga appearances for Osasuna last season. He made his international debut in March, scoring against Serbia in a friendly match. Spain's World Cup campaign includes a draw against Cape Verde and an upcoming match against Saudi Arabia.
