Loaded handguns found: Police seek 21-year-old man in Denmark

Danish police are actively searching for a 21-year-old man, identified as Omar Imal El-Khatib, following the discovery of two loaded handguns. The weapons were uncovered during a police search of an apartment in Vallensbæk, a suburb west of Copenhagen. The search also yielded hashish, skunk, and a significant sum of cash.

As a result of the search, a 32-year-old man has been arrested and subsequently remanded in custody. Police suspect that the large amount of cash found at the scene, similar to the drugs and firearms, is linked to drug trafficking activities. Both the money and the illicit substances have been seized by authorities.

The 32-year-old man, who appeared in court for a preliminary hearing, has denied all charges against him. The suspicion involving Omar Imal El-Khatib arose during the ongoing investigation into the discovery of the firearms, drugs, and cash at the Vallensbæk apartment.

Police commissioner Tue Lauenblad of Københavns Vestegns Politi urged the 21-year-old suspect to turn himself in. "He knows we are looking for him, and he might as well report himself," Lauenblad stated in connection with the public appeal for information. The police are continuing their efforts to locate El-Khatib.
