Logie Awards Nominees Announced, New Sports Presenter Award Introduced

The nominees for the 66th annual TV Week Logies have been revealed, featuring a new award category and a host of familiar faces.

The Bruce McAvaney Award for Most Popular Sports Presenter will honor Australian sports reporting talent. This year's Gold Logie contenders include former ABC News Breakfast presenter Lisa Millar, up against Julia Morris, Poh Ling Yeow, and host Robert Irwin.

The Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) leads the pack with 41 nominations. Its comedy "Dog Park" and drama "The Family Next Door" each received three nods, while "Goolagong" stars Lila McGuire and Eloise Hart are up for Most Popular New Talent.

Amazon's Prime Video is the most-nominated streaming service, thanks to Jacob Elordi's war drama "The Narrow Road to the Deep North" and the second season of the comedy "Deadloch."

The 2026 Logie Awards ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, August 16, at The Star in Sydney. Media personality and wildlife conservationist Robert Irwin will take the stage as host.
