After relocating to the United Kingdom, he became a dedicated supporter of Chelsea Football Club and regularly attended English Premier League matches. The 2026 FIFA World Cup, jointly hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the United States, held particular significance as the first to span three countries.

He recalled the unforgettable atmosphere during Mexico's match against Ecuador, where over 80,000 supporters seemed to unite as one voice, reinforcing his belief that football's impact transcends the pitch.
