Longines unveils updated Dolcevita watches with new dials and straps

Swiss watchmaker Longines is refreshing its popular Dolcevita collection, drawing inspiration from the elegance of Art Deco and the Italian concept of "La Dolce Vita." First launched in 1997, the collection, along with its smaller 2023 counterpart, the Mini Dolcevita, now features new dial designs and a vibrant array of strap options.

The updated Dolcevita series maintains its signature rectangular case and balanced proportions, symbolizing Longines' commitment to elegance for nearly three decades. The new models boast intricate guilloché patterns on their dials, creating subtle plays of light and shadow. Inspired by Mediterranean landscapes, three new strap colors, olive green, maple red, and midnight blue, are offered, easily interchangeable thanks to a quick-release system, allowing wearers to adapt their style effortlessly.

Each of the three new Dolcevita models offers a distinct aesthetic. One features an ivory dial with gold-plated Roman numerals and hands, paired with an olive green leather strap for a subdued yet sophisticated look. Another combines an ivory dial with rose gold accents and a maple red strap, blending luxury with romantic softness. A third option presents a silver dial with blue hour markers, complemented by blue steel hands and a midnight blue strap, exuding intellectual refinement. All three include a harmonious small seconds sub-dial at the 6 o'clock position.

Meanwhile, the Mini Dolcevita collection elevates its jewelry craftsmanship with a "snow setting" technique. This intricate method involves setting 163 Top Wesselton diamonds of varying sizes closely together on the 21.5x29mm dial, resembling a delicate snowfall. Paired with a lustrous mother-of-pearl sub-dial, the diamonds create a dazzling display. Contrasting blue Roman numerals and blued steel hands stand out against the sparkling backdrop, ensuring readability while adding a striking design element. This smaller model is available with either a blue satin strap or a stainless steel bracelet, emphasizing its exquisite jewelry appeal.
