Lotto Powerball: $28 million draw may come before odds and jackpot ceiling rise

Tonight’s $28 million Lotto Powerball draw could be the last major draw with the current odds. The rules are set to change, bringing both tougher odds and a higher jackpot limit.

Four new Powerballs will lift the maximum jackpot from $50 million to $60 million starting September 13. Under the current rules, the jackpot must be won once it passes $50 million.
