Louta and Joaquín Levinton join Nicolás Furtado’s new comedy

Louta and Joaquín Levinton are changing stages for the new comedy Escondida en mi cabeza, which stars Nicolás Furtado and has just released its first trailer.

Directed by Lucas Vivo García Lagos, the Argentina-Uruguay co-production will reach cinemas on October 1. It combines humor, cryptocurrency, an unusual accident and an unexpected leap through time.

Louta plays Young Geezer, an eccentric young British man who enters Erni’s life at a crucial moment. After Erni loses his job and goes through a romantic crisis, he meets Young Geezer in a bar. During a night of excess, the character persuades him to invest all of his severance pay in bitcoin. The director said he wrote the role specifically with Louta, the musician behind “Puñaladas”, in mind.

Levinton, the leader of Turf, makes a special appearance in the film. The cast also includes Agustina “Papryka” Suásquita, Alejandra Flechner, Iair Said, Mike Chouhy, Charo López and Maxi de la Cruz. The production has not disclosed Levinton’s character or the size of his role.

Erni is a likeable but immature young man who works at an amusement park. After losing his job and distancing himself from Coni, the girl he likes, he takes refuge in a bar. He later suffers an accident and falls into a coma. When he wakes 14 years later, his relationships have changed, his mother is facing financial difficulties and the world he knew has moved on.

There is one potentially life-changing piece of news: the bitcoin investment is now worth millions. But Erni cannot remember the password to the digital wallet. To recover the money and help his family, he must reconstruct part of his past and find the key hidden, literally, in his head.
