A man in Lucknow allegedly shot and killed his wife and sister before turning the gun on himself, an incident reportedly stemming from a divorce petition and allegations of "betrayal."

The accused, identified as Manas Bajpayee, is alleged to have murdered his wife, Divya Mishra, a relationship manager at ICICI Bank, and his sister. His sister, journalist and popular YouTuber Pragya Mishra, who has over 8.53 million subscribers, has come forward with harrowing details about the couple's married life.

"Deep down, she wanted everything to be okay," Mishra said, noting that Divya had continued observing religious fasts and had not removed a tattoo of Bajpayee's name, suggesting she still hoped for reconciliation.

Following the shooting, Bajpayee allegedly posted a WhatsApp status accusing Divya of "betrayal" and implicating Pragya Mishra and her husband. Police are reportedly verifying this message. Responding to her name being mentioned, Mishra stated she was aware of Bajpayee's alleged behavior towards her sister but not of any specific "betrayal."
