Luka Modrić Extends AC Milan Contract for Another Year

Luka Modrić has reportedly decided to extend his contract with AC Milan for another year, a move that will keep the Croatian captain at the club until June 30, 2027. This decision follows discussions with the new coach, Rúben Amorim, who has publicly expressed his desire to retain the midfielder.

Sources from Italy indicate that Zlatan Ibrahimović and club owner Gerry Cardinale also played significant roles in the negotiations. Modrić's contract officially expired on June 30, making him a free agent, but the one-year extension option has now been activated under the same financial terms as the previous season.

Modrić's net salary will remain at four million euros, including bonuses.
