Luodong Senior High School sees nearly 50% national university acceptance rate, 6 students admitted to NTU

Students from Luodong Senior High School in Yilan County have achieved a nearly 50% acceptance rate into national universities through the individual application process for university entrance. A total of 208 students secured admissions, with six successfully gaining entry into the prestigious National Taiwan University (NTU).

Among the successful NTU applicants are Wu Yu-cheng for the Department of Geography and Environmental Resources, Lin Yi-ching for the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures, Tseng Yen-chun for the Department of Biochemical Science and Technology, Chen Yi-cheng for the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering, Li Wei-lin for the Department of Forestry and Natural Resources, and Kuo En-fu, also for the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering.

Additionally, Cheng Hsiang-cheng was admitted to the School of Chinese Medicine at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University through a recommendation program. Through the "Star Plan" recommendation channel, Lin Tsai-wei and Weng Hsin-yun were accepted into the dentistry programs at Chung Shan Medical University and Taipei Medical University, respectively.

Luodong Senior High School reported that when considering all admission channels, including the Star Plan, special talent selections, independent admissions, four-year program applications, joint recommendations, and overseas universities, a total of 253 students were admitted to universities. This includes three students into medical and dental programs, eight into NTU, ten into National Tsing Hua University, six into National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, and others into National Cheng Kung University, National Chengchi University, National Taipei University of Education, National Taiwan Normal University, and National Taipei University of Technology. The overall national university acceptance rate for the school reached 52%.
