Maghreb Tetouan has officially secured promotion to the first division of the Moroccan professional football league, known as the 'Botola Pro Inwi'. The team clinched the second promotion spot with a decisive 2-0 away victory over Racing Athletic on Saturday, the 29th matchday of the season.

This win guarantees Maghreb Tetouan's return to the top flight with one game left in the season. They now sit second in the standings with 50 points, six points clear of third-placed Jeunesse Atlas Khénifra, who drew their match. The promotion marks a significant achievement for the club.

In contrast, the defeat seals Racing Athletic's fate, sending them down to the amateur league. The match thus represented a stark divergence in fortunes for the two clubs involved.

Meanwhile, Wydad Temara, who had already secured their promotion earlier, continued their strong performance with a 1-0 away win against Stade Marocain. They lead the league with 53 points, maintaining a three-point advantage over Maghreb Tetouan heading into the final round, which will decide the overall league champion.

The battle for promotion and against relegation remains intense for other clubs. Jeunesse Atlas Khénifra holds third place with 44 points, followed closely by Amal Tiznit with 43. Raja Beni Mellal boosted their survival hopes with a 2-0 win, but they remain second to last in the standings.
