It also wrote that he “pulled the strings of the game with magical touches.” Gazzetta later called him an “artist with the ball” and a “little wizard between the lines and in tight spaces.” Other Greek outlets also praised his display, with Novasports headlining its report around a “firecracker” featuring Majer as maestro and Varga as finisher.

The crowd’s response underlined his rapid popularity. After a penalty was awarded in the second half, supporters began calling for Majer to take it, although a VAR review overturned the decision. AEK signed him in late July through summer 2030.
