Majuro Marshall Islands to host Oceania Cup 2027

Majuro, the capital of the Marshall Islands, is set to become the stage for the Oceania Cup 2027, a premier athletics competition drawing top athletes from across the Pacific. The Oceania Athletics Association (OAA) announced the decision, with the event scheduled to run from June 14-18, 2027, at the National Stadium.

Iakwe, For years, our athletes have traveled across the Pacific to represent the Marshall Islands. In 2027, we will have the honour of welcoming the Pacific to Majuro.

This venue is no stranger to major sporting events, having successfully hosted the 2024 Micronesian Games. Its selection for the Oceania Cup underscores its capability to handle significant regional competitions.

The Oceania Cup is distinguished by its unique team-based format, where athletes represent regional teams in a bid to win the coveted trophy. This format fosters a strong sense of regional pride and spirited rivalry among competitors.
