Malaysian opposition alliance Perikatan Nasional to hold emergency meeting ahead of state polls

Perikatan Nasional, Malaysia's main opposition alliance, is set to hold an emergency meeting on June 22 to strategize for the upcoming state elections. The supreme council meeting, scheduled for 8:30 PM at the PAS headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, will address crucial aspects of the coalition's future.

According to a meeting notice dated June 18, the agenda includes discussions on party membership within Perikatan Nasional. Perikatan information chief Tan Sri Annuar Musa confirmed the meeting's date. Malaysian Indian People's Party (MIPP) president P Punithan stated that the discussions will cover the way forward for the coalition, specifically mentioning the Johor and Negri Sembilan polls, the Perikatan logo, and overall coalition strategy.
