Male Body Found Floating in Dicle River in Turkey

Authorities in Diyarbakır, Turkey, are investigating the discovery of a man's body found floating in the Dicle River.

The incident occurred in the Bağıvar area when concerned citizens alerted authorities after spotting a person motionless on the river's surface. Police, medical personnel, and the Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality's underwater search and rescue teams were dispatched to the location.

Rescue teams worked to retrieve the body from the water. Initial examination confirmed the deceased was male. The body has since been transported to the Forensic Medicine Institute's morgue for an autopsy, which will aim to establish the exact cause of death and confirm the individual's identity.

Investigations are ongoing, including inquiries into any missing persons reports that might correspond with the discovery. The circumstances surrounding the death remain under investigation.
