Man arrested for allegedly murdering wife in Ordu, Turkey

In Ordu, Turkey, a domestic dispute tragically culminated in the death of a 36-year-old woman, Emine Sanmak, allegedly at the hands of her husband, Serkan S., 38. The fatal stabbing occurred at the couple's greengrocer shop in the Karacalı neighborhood of Kumru district.

According to reports, the couple had been arguing when Serkan S. allegedly attacked his wife, Emine Sanmak, who is the mother of their four children. Following the attack on his wife, the suspect is also reported to have stabbed a 52-year-old minibus driver, identified as Çelik A., who was approximately 300 meters away from the scene.

Emergency services and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the location. Emine Sanmak was rushed to Kumru State Hospital, but despite all medical efforts, she could not be saved and was pronounced dead. The condition of Çelik A. is currently under medical treatment.

Following the incident, Serkan S. surrendered to gendarmerie teams. After completing the necessary procedures at the police station, he was transferred to the courthouse. A court subsequently ordered his arrest and detention on charges of intentional homicide, and he has been sent to prison.
