Man Arrested for Illegal Filming in Caribbean Bay Women's Changing Room

A man in his 20s has been arrested and detained for illegally filming women in a changing room at the popular Caribbean Bay water park in Yongin, South Korea. The suspect, identified as Song, faces charges under the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment of Sexual Crimes.

Song allegedly entered the women's changing room on two separate occasions last month, using a short wig, sunglasses, and a mask to conceal his identity. He is accused of using his mobile phone and a small recording device to capture footage of unsuspecting visitors.

His suspicious behavior was noticed by a park visitor on July 30th around 4:40 PM. When asked to lift his sunglasses, the visitor exclaimed, "He's a man," prompting park staff to intervene. Song attempted to flee but was apprehended by police on August 21st at his Seoul residence. He reportedly told investigators that he acted out of curiosity and only intended to keep the footage for himself, denying any plans for external distribution. Police are currently conducting digital forensics to identify any additional victims and determine if the recordings were shared.
