Man Arrested in Anambra for Alleged Girlfriend Murder, Secret Burial

Anambra State Police have arrested a 33-year-old man, Ifechukwu Okechukwu, in connection with the alleged murder and secret burial of his 23-year-old girlfriend in Nkpor. The arrest came after police intercepted disturbing videos circulating online and received credible information from concerned citizens.

The command confirmed the exhumation of a corpse in Nkpor and the rescue of a 10-year-old boy suffering from severe injuries, leading to the custody of four suspects linked to these incidents.

Okechukwu is currently under investigation for the alleged murder and burial of his girlfriend. Police operatives from the State Criminal Investigation Department have taken over the case to thoroughly investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident and ensure justice is served.

In a separate case, three individuals, Chukwudi Chukwuyere, 40; Chisom Chukwuyere, 30; and Arum Goodluck, 16, were arrested for the alleged serious abuse of a 10-year-old boy in Isiowulu. One suspect confessed to inflicting burns on the child using a hot plastic object. The victim is receiving care, and evidence is being gathered for prosecution.
