Man Charged for Blocking Car, Smashing Windshield in Vietnam

Authorities in Vietnam's Vĩnh Long province have formally charged Nguyen Tan Phat, 41, with property damage following a road rage incident. The charges stem from an event on April 5 where Phat allegedly confronted and assaulted a vehicle after a dispute over traffic.

According to reports, the incident began when a car driven by 21-year-old N.T.T. honked at a group of motorcyclists, including Phat, who were reportedly riding erratically and encroaching on the car's lane. In response, the motorcyclists stopped their vehicles, blocking the car's path.

While the driver locked his doors and recorded the confrontation, Phat reportedly used a hard object to smash the car's front windshield. The group then fled the scene on their motorcycles. Police were called to the location to investigate the damage and gather statements. Phat has since been detained by the provincial police's investigative agency as the investigation continues.
