Man City's Foden Extends Contract until 2030

Manchester City's homegrown talent, Phil Foden, has committed his future to the club by signing a new contract that will keep him at the Etihad Stadium until 2030. Since breaking into the senior squad under Pep Guardiola in 2017, Foden has amassed an impressive 411 appearances and scored 131 goals. His tenure has coincided with a historic period for Manchester City, marked by numerous titles, including six Premier League crowns, a Champions League victory, and three FA Cups. Last season, the 26-year-old midfielder registered 10 goals and seven assists in 50 appearances across all competitions. However, his form in 2026 saw a dip, resulting in his omission from England's World Cup squad by manager Thomas Tuchel. Despite this setback, Foden's renewed commitment signals his intent to regain top form and continue contributing to Manchester City's ambitions under new manager Enzo Maresca, who will lead the team's Premier League campaign starting August 23 against Bournemouth.
