Man City set to sign Morocco midfielder Bouaddi from Lille

Manchester City is reportedly finalizing the acquisition of highly-rated midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi from French Ligue 1 side Lille. British media outlets suggest the Premier League club is prepared to pay a significant sum, potentially reaching 100 million euros for the 18-year-old Moroccan international.

The Athletic reported that City's offer includes an initial fee of 95 million euros, with an additional five million euros in potential add-ons. If the deal materializes at this valuation, Bouaddi would rank among Manchester City's most expensive signings, following the recent acquisition of Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest for a reported 116 million pounds.

Primarily a defensive midfielder, Bouaddi has become a key player for Lille, making 30 appearances in Ligue 1 as the team secured third place and qualified for the Champions League. His performances have also earned him senior international recognition. Bouaddi made his debut for Morocco in May and was subsequently included in the country's 26-man squad for the World Cup. He featured in the tournament, making his debut against Brazil and starting in five of Morocco's six matches as they advanced to the quarterfinals.
